Accessibility Statement

1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

Harbinger Bros. LLC is committed to ensuring that Authorlify is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Authorlify is available in six languages: English, Swahili, French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese. The user's language preference is stored locally in the browser and persists across sessions, ensuring a consistent experience without requiring re-selection on each visit.

2. Accessibility Toolbar

A floating accessibility button is available on every page (vertically centered on the left edge of the screen, marked with the universal accessibility icon). It opens a panel that lets you adjust, independently of any assistive technology you may already use:

• Text size — three steps (100% / 112.5% / 125%), scaling all text on the site
• High Contrast mode — switches to a pure black background with white text and high-visibility yellow focus outlines
• Reduce Motion — disables all animations and transitions site-wide
• Underline Links — makes hyperlinks visually distinguishable from surrounding text without relying on color alone
• Readable Spacing — increases letter spacing, word spacing, and line height

Your selections are saved in your browser's localStorage (key authorlify_a11y_prefs) so they persist across visits, and are never transmitted to our servers. A “Reset” control in the panel clears all selections and restores the default appearance.

3. Current Measures

We actively implement the following accessibility measures:

• Semantic HTML structure for screen reader compatibility
• Sufficient color contrast ratios across all UI elements
• Full keyboard navigability throughout the application, including the accessibility toolbar itself (opens on Enter/Space, closes on Escape)
• Responsive design that adapts to all screen sizes and orientations
• ARIA labels and roles on interactive elements
• Focus indicators for keyboard users
• No auto-playing media or flashing content

4. Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. We are actively working to identify and resolve these gaps. Known areas under improvement:

• AI-generated text outputs are not yet automatically summarized for screen readers
• The Reduce Motion toggle above lets you manually disable animations, but we do not yet automatically detect and apply your operating system's reduced-motion preference
• AI-generated blog cover images currently include the post title as alt text; more descriptive alt text generation is planned

5. Assistive Technology Support

Authorlify is designed to be compatible with common assistive technologies including screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS), voice control software, and keyboard-only navigation. We test across major browsers including Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
